Las Heras and Virseda were met by two very sharp and determined Marta's, losing the opening set and going a break down in the second as well.
It took them a tie-break in the final set to come back from this deficit, booking their place in the round of 16 in what was the first day of women's World Padel Tour play in Argentina.
Four-time number ones Mapi and Majo Sanchez Alayeto started their Argentinian adventure in great fashion as well, as did local players Virginia Riera against wild card opposition.
