Two all-Spanish couples qualified for the tournament in late March as well on Sunday at the EuroIndoor club in Madrid, Teresa Navarro and Marina Martinez taking down teenagers Agueda Perez and Sara Ruiz 6-3 1-6 6-1.
Sara Pujals and Jimena Velasco also were among the survivors, beating fellow Spaniards Lorena Alonso and Sandra Hernandez in straight sets 6-3 7-6(4).
While three international (non-Spanish or Argentinian) players made it out of qualifying, there was also one left behind in the final.
Patricia Martinez (ESP)/Ksenia Sharifova (RUS) v Maria Rodriguez (ESP)/Carlotta Casali (ITA)
In the third qualifying match of the four, Patricia Martinez and Russian ace Ksenia Sharifova took to the court against Maria Rodriguez and Italian Carlotta Casali.
The longest of the four finals by far, Sharifova and Martinez took the opening set 6-4 before struggling more in the second, where Casali and Rodriguez eventually won 5-7 to force a decider.
It would go to the tie-break in the final set, and it would be Sharifova and Martinez who came out on top 7-6(7).
They qualify for the Paraguay Padel Open and will be in the main draw at the end of March.
Emily Stellato (ITA)/Giulia Sussarello (ITA) v Alicia Blanco (ESP)/Arantxa Soriano (ESP)
Finally, Italian duo Emily Stellato and Giulia Sussarello fought it out for a ticket to Paraguay against Spaniards Alicia Blanco and Arantxa Soriano.
Stellato and Sussarello have started the 2023 campaign in fine form together, and despite surviving three long sets the day before the final, they were the better pair.
They won the first set 7-5 against Blanco and Soriano, who could not answer in the second set.
It would turn out to be a sweep for the Italians, who qualified for Paraguay by winning 7-5 6-0.
