41 different players have won one or more World Padel Tour titles between 2013 and 2022, ranging from teenagers to players well in their fourties.

As professional padel has developed at a rapid pace, players now break through at younger ages than ever before. The average age at any tournament has decreased dramatically since 2013

Below, we rank the five youngsters who reached the top of WPT at the youngest age!

5. Marta Ortega (20 years, 1 month, 19 days old)

While she is the youngest finalist ever at 17 years old and the youngest number one ever at 22, Marta Ortega 'only' comes in at fifth on this list.

The 2017 Santander Open was her third time in a final, but the first time alongside Ariana Sanchez, reaching the previous two with Lucia Sainz.

Ortega and Sanchez beat Elisabet Amatriain and Patricia Llaguno to lift both of their first-ever titles, becoming the youngest couple to ever win in the process.

4. Agustín Tapia (20 years, 1 month, 15 days old)

As soon as Agustin Tapia landed in Spain to compete in World Padel Tour, it was clear that he was meant for big things.

Early in his career, Fernando Belasteguin partnered up with the youngster, and it did not take long until they lifted their first trophy together.

Bela and Tapia won the Madrid Master in 2019, making Tapia the youngest male winner ever at the time.

The record would stand for over two years, until Tapia's partner for 2023 broke it.

3. Arturo Coello (19 years, 11 months, 19 days old)

The only teenager to ever win a title in the men's Circuit, at time of writing, is Arturo Coello.

Just like Tapia, Coello won the first final he ever competed in, and just like Tapia, he did so alongside Belasteguin.

The Spaniard had never reached a final before 2022 but won the first tournament of the season, the Miami Padel Open.

Coello and Belasteguin would go on to win two more titles throughout the campaign, finishing as the three-seed.

2. Ariana Sánchez (19 years, 8 months, 14 days old)

For three years, Ariana Sanchez held the record for the youngest winner ever after her title at the Santander Open 2017 with Marta Ortega.

She was the first teenager to emerge from a tournament as the winner, and has done so 21 more times since then.

Currently, Sanchez is the most successful player to never finish a year as the number one. While it is far from a given, this is likely to change in the future.

""

1. Beatriz González (18 years, 7 months, 27 days old)

The youngest-ever player in the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals is the mercurial Bea Gonzalez.

It is not a surprise then that the Spaniard is the youngest-ever tournament winner too, winning the Vuelve A Madrid Open in 2020 at just 18 years old.

Known as La Perla or 'The Pearl' of Spanish padel, many tip Gonzalez as a future number one.

She and Marta Ortega finished 2022 as the three-seed in what was by far the best year of Gonzalez's career, and at 21 years old, she is still far removed from her prime.
