Fernandez and Iglesias recently announced their newly forged partnership, and put their training into practice on Wednesday against qualifiers Ksenia Sharifova and Marta Borrero.
They were not the only ones to have a successful debut as the women's Tour has seen a big game of chairs over the summer, with four of the top ten couples being brand-new in Tampere.
