The number one Sanchez as well as her partner Paula Josemaria will not compete in the inaugural Finnish tournament this week.
As the main draw is already underway, there will not be a 'Lucky Loser' replacement from the qualifiers. This means Claudia Jensen and Veronica Virseda, who were due to take on Josemaria and Sanchez in the round of 16, advance to the quarter-finals via walk-over.
Sanchez and Josemaria already have ten titles to their name in the 2023 World Padel Tour season and are the runaway leaders in the rankings, but will have to wait to get another chance to add to their tally.
