Di Nenno and Stupaczuk looked unstoppable to start the La Rioja Open 2023 quarter-final, winning the first eight games consecutively to take a 6-0 2-0 lead, but back came Chingotto and Garrido.
The six-seed forced a third set, breaking two times in a row to win the second frame, but Di Nenno and Stupa regained the initiative when it mattered most.
On home soil, they are once again in the semi-finals on Saturday, with a record crowd expected at the Super Domo.
