For the first time in history, World Padel Tour has touched down in Paraguay, a week after Chile made its debut in the competition as well.
In the biggest and most international season in WPT history, Paraguay gives all players another unique opportunity to make a new country fall in love with the competition.
However, numerous couples have been forced to withdraw from the event, leading to adjustments in the draw. Have a look below to find out what they are!
Men's Paraguay Padel Open draw
Due to the many couples that have pulled out of the tournament because of personal problems or injury, five new couples have been drafted in under the 'Lucky Loser' regulation.
Fernando Belasteguin and Sanyo Gutierrez, Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello, Pablo Lima and Coki Nieto, Lucas Campagnolo and Maxi Sanchez, Jon Sanz and Javi Leal, 'Xisco' Gil and Ramiro Moyano, Lucas Bergamini and Victor Ruiz, Javi Rico and Jorge Ruiz, Mario del Castillo and Miguel Benitez will all sit out in Paraguay.
Normally in the men's draw at an Open1000 event, the top four seeds still have to play the round of 32, but because of these unforeseen circumstances, the top five will all advance to the round of 16 automatically.
Having said that, here is the men's draw for the first-ever Paraguay Padel Open!

Women's Paraguay Padel Open draw
There is a single absence in the women's draw for the Paraguay Padel Open, and that is the one of Emily Stellato and Giulia Sussarello, with the former still recovering from injury after qualifying for the tournament.
This grants Lucia Martinez and Esther Carnicero passage to the round of 16 via walkover.
Another notable occurrence is Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez now possess the one-seed. As registrations for the tournament closed after the Abu Dhabi Padel Master, right when the Spaniards overtook Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay in the rankings, they will now be number ones in the seeding.
However, since last Sunday in Chile, Salazar and Triay have re-taken top spot in the actual rankings, meaning Josemaria and Sanchez need a big result in the upcoming week.
