France had hosted Challenger events before but never a tournament of the magnitude of an Open, and 2022's inaugural French Padel Open was a resounding success.
The Palais des Sports André-Brouat was filled to its capacity of 4.200 spectators on several days, with the likes of NBA legend Tony Parker amongst the crowd.

What happened at the 2022 Human French Padel Open
2022 saw reigning number ones of that season Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay become the first champions of the Human French Padel Open. The Spaniards defeated their fellow countrywomen Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez by 7-6(4) 6-4.
In the men's Circuit, the number ones featured in the final as well, but Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan were bested in two tremendous sets by Pablo Lima and Franco Stupaczuk.
The Brazilian-Argentinian tandem took the Spaniards down 7-6(8) 6-4, lifting their first - and as it would turn out, only - World Padel Tour title together.
2023 is set to provide the same, if not more spectacle! Do you not want to miss out? Get your tickets now by clicking here!
