Gutierrez and Gonzalez reached two finals at the Danish Padel Open and the Marbella Master, but had gone five events without reaching a semi-final.
Both players will tackle the fourth Master of the season with different partners, with the Argentinian Gutierrez falling out of the top eight altogether.
Have a look below at both the men’s and women’s draws for the SIXT Comunidad de Madrid Master 2023!
Women's draw
The biggest change in the women’s draw is the return of number ones Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.
Sanchez pulled out of the Finland Padel Open last time out, but will return to defend her title in Madrid.
Josemaria and Sanchez have won all three tournaments in Madrid they have played together since forming, and will look to keep up their unbeaten streak next week.
Men's draw
A lot has transpired in the men’s draw following the separation of Sanyo Gutierrez and Momo Gonzalez.
Gutierrez has teamed up with his nephew Agustin, who will face his former partner Josete Rico immediately in the round of 32 as the ten-seed.
Gonzalez has turned to Javi Garrido to become the seven-seed.
As both Spaniards are left-sided players, it remains to be seen who will cross the court and play on the right. In either case, Gonzalez and Garrido make their debut against Pablo Garcia and Ivan Ramirez.
