Number ones Josemaria and Sanchez are the two-time reigning champions in Marbella, winning in both 2021 and 2022, and will defend their crown on Sunday once more after sending Ortega and Araujo home.
Individually, Josemaria won the 2020 Marbella Master as well, meaning she can become just the third player in World Padel Tour history to win any same event for four seasons in a row should she win on Sunday.
It would also be the 20th title for Josemaria and Sanchez together, winning six already in the current season out of seven finals as they continue to consolidate their place at the top of the rankings.
