Josemaria and Sanchez have not found their form since winning the season opener in Abu Dhabi, but return to the semi-finals after grinding out a win against Sainz and Osoro.
The one-seed overcame a 5-3 deficit in the first set and won it via an 18-point tie-break, after which they managed to win the second set more easily.
Osoro and Sainz have made every quarter-final so far this season, but have advance only once.
